In their own words

I own an MG GS Reg No. MV66ZZO which I have had from new. I have experienced many unresolved electrical faults. Dealer 1 1x power steering failure 1 X Sat Nav screen 1 new battery fitted Unable to find fault on the second occasion Dealer 2 2 X power steering failure 1 X indicator fault 2 or 3 times Sat Nav failure 2 new batteries fitted 1 X full software upgrade On at least 2 occasions no fault found I was sold a battery charger by MG Dealer Brown & Gammons cost £83.34. What a waste of money. This did not solve the issues. I was shown by an AA rep that disconnecting and reconnecting the battery could reboot the system and be a temporary fix. I have used this method on 3 of 4 occasions and normally keep a spanner for the battery in the glovebox The car is back at Dealer yet again. I am left without transportation. My wife is a nurse and this car is the sole family vehicle. I deem the vehicle to be not of merchantability quality and am now rejecting this vehicle. If you are unable to assist me I will resort to seeking legal advise. No reply to messages sent to:- Hao W. Director MG UK Harvey France Head of After sales Daniel Gregorious Head of Sales UKas Gordon Mee Regional Operations Louise Carter HR and Legal Affair Gallaghers Motors Head Office Sandiway Chester 1. Rang Vauxhall Finance. Was told they had been contacted by MG and would advise me of their recommendations in due course. 22/05/2020. 2. Phone call from MG Customer Services for VIN Number. Ask them to ring Gallaghers as they had my car. I was that I had to provide it to them. 3. LinkedIn message to Director Dealer 2. 4. Claim form requested from Motor Agency Ombudsman. 5. Phoned Chester branch of Dealer 2 to ask if they had a courtesy car. Left message for someone to ring me. Director rang quite a heated discussion. I told him that I had said all along. I also told him that I would not accept the vehicle back if they only changed the battery again. He said if MG told them to do that, then that is what they would do. He told me he had no vehicle available and that I should not have rung the Chester Branch. He said I could take my vehicle as it was driveable.WHAT IF THE POWER STEERING OR INDICATORS FAILED WHILST I WAS DRIVING. He told me that I was not welcome at Gallaghers in future as in his opinion I had cast doubt upon the technicians at the garage. I told him that I casted doubt on them allowing MG to offer the same temporary fix over and over again. 6. I later found out that MG had authorised replacement of the radio unit. So I was right, it was not the battery. NOT ALL COMPANIES ARE THE SAME. ST HELENS MG SAID THEY WOULD HAVE DONE EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO GIVE ME A COURTESY CAR. I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE THE CAR WITH THEM TO REPAIR IT AND TO ENSURE THAT THEY TEST IT THOUGHILY. I WAS ALSO YOLD THAT THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO ACCEPT MY BUSINESS IN FUTURE. Since been told that they have done another software upgrade and have not replaced the radio. This has already been tried before, but it was all that MG was going do.
