In their own words

It's not as fast as a Tesla or as plush as a Mercedes EQC, but this is the perfect car for people who want a practical electric car for a reasonable amount of money. The Excite is good (my original test drive was the Excite and persuaded me to buy the car in twenty miles of driving it), but the Exclusive is worth the extra money for the nicer seats, keyless entry and rain sensing wipers. There's no app which is a disappointment after five years of having a leaf, but the car itself is so much nicer with a better build quality, more comfort and, obviously, a far greater range. Its not going to be the object of desire from your neighbours (most of them will think that you've bought a Passat in my experience), but this is a car that you'll love to own with quiet, fuss free driving. The most inconvenient part of owning this car so far has been insuring it as my current insurance company had no record of the MG 5 SW EV's existence, so be aware that you might have a few hiccups in that area for the next few months whilst companies catch up with the new model launch, but the premium in the end was cheaper than my six year old Leaf. Servicing costs haven't come up yet, but the quote from the dealer for the 12 month / 12000 mile service was sub £100. Electric cars aren't cheap compared to their petrol equivalents, but if you're looking for the most electric car for the money then this is the car for you.
