Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 44 - 65 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Looking for the most frugal? Then you’ll be having a browse over the MINI Coupe SD because the diesel powered Coupe returns 65.7mpg on an average run. MINI dealers can be expensive for servicing but you do get quality.

Choose the MINI Coupe SD because, at 114g/km, it emits the lowest CO2 of the range. This is because MINI uses the same CO2-busting technologies as those on BMWs. Brake energy regeneration, auto start/stop and an optimum gearshift indicator are all included.

MINI has a first-class reliability record and the Coupe is powered by the latest generation of BMW Group four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. We expect the bulletproof reliability record to continue since the car feels well built and the engines are already proven.
