  • Summary

    3 out of 5 3.0

What does this car say about you?

It looks good and the newer shape with the 'Lancer' type front end gives it a smooth look. (There's a Raliart hot hatch version if that's your bag).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Nice looking little car is the usual comment.

Would you buy this car again and why?

As the colt was discontinued in 2013 for that horrible looking Mirage answer is no!

New shape Ford Focus if and when I could afford one.

    May 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

Got a really good trade in on my 05 plate Colt.

  • Driving it

    2 out of 5 2.0

    What's it like to drive?

Unfortunately the ride is very firm and you do feel the bumps. The seats are not very supportive on long journeys. However compare the performance figures/gadgets and buying cost you get as standard with the most popular new Fiesta and the Colt really stacks up.

    What's it like to park?

Easy to park with plenty of rear view. Front view is a bit constricted by wide front pillars but you get used to them. Makes you a careful driver!

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

So far 1 new tyre and a light bulb!

What's most practical about your car?

Ok so it's not the most comfortable car to drive but It's reliable and very cheap to run. You get a lot of extras for a relitively cheap used car.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Wasn't sure at first but the Auto/Start and Go is a great option. And the £30/year road tax.
