  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

I wanted a car that was practical but at the same time had a unique look about it. This car has it all and is a match for the Beemers and VW's in all departments. This car says that i was sensible to buy Japanese!!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They absolutely love it. And i still get people asking me if i want to sell it. Not on your nelly mate.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I wouldn't hesiitate in getting another purely for the reliability factor

What are you likely to buy next?

Nothing at the moment, but it will be a Mitsubishi.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £10,500

When did you buy the car?

    January 2003

Did you get a good deal and why?

I felt that i'd got a great deal as he put new tyres on it and didn't know about the cd player (reckons he would have put more on the price!!). Only has 24000 on the clock as the second owner and it was still under manufacturers warranty.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I had bought a dog and therefore required space for him and the rest of the family. Also, the car had the WOW factor.

    What was the dealer like?

Could'nt help me enough. Even after i had parted with my cash, his after sales follow up was superb. Very rare these days i know.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

WOW......as soon as you push the accelerator down, you can feel the pick up. And for those long journeys, it is not only effortless but extremely comfortable and chews the road up with no dramas

    What's it like to park?

Can be a nightmare if you don't judge the front end of the car (my lesson learnt from a pushed in number plate), but once you get used to it parking is not too bad

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Apart from the front right wishbone on the rack, it has been nothing but reliable. It's an owners dream to have a car that costs you little. However, the 54000 service and the timing belt change (take out a 2nd mortgage). The only other dicrepency i have with it, are the servicing intervals (9000m). In this day and age it should be longer.

What's most practical about your car?

The space it has to offer. Very roomy (especially if you've got a wife who takes half her wardrobe!!). Everything is easy to get to.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The auto-tiptronic gearbox is a luxury. Even when you hit the kickdown pedal you can forget what speed you are doing....licence loser or what!!
