  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

Somebody who likes something different, and knows what he wants the car for.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it (mines red metallic). My sisters children hoped it was their dads hire car when his had to go in for repair, but now when they see it they know its me as its different from any other car. Thats also a disadvantage cos if you would like to say , give your opinion about somebody's terrible driving you have to curb yourself as you maybe the only one driving that car around.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would if mitsubishi would re-import it with better engines and improve the quality of the cabin materials. They don't have this size of car in their model range.

What are you likely to buy next?

It would be second,it will be based on my circumstances at the time such as do I need such a large car and go smaller or do I go for something more refined such as a Honda Accord,Toyota Avensis or sml bmw/mercedes.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £7,500

When did you buy the car?

    August 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Got a discount on the advertised price as wasn't trading in and was paying cash.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Low mileage, cheaper tax and better economy than previous car and mitsubishi offered 3yrs free servicing so the following years servicing would be free. Like something a bit different. size was similer to my outgoing galant. the saloon version looked better at the back but had a small opening to the boot space so went for the hatchback.

    What was the dealer like?

At first I thought they were very helpful as I had to travel a bit far by train and when I got to the other end it was pooring with rain. I rang them for directions and they offered to come and pick me up. I was only half a mile away. Unfortunatley thats when it ended as the salesman hadn't checked that it had been valeted before taking it so had to arrange to be taken at one of their dealers local to me which took ages to sort. SO BRISTOL STREET YOU ARE HAVE BEEN VERY POOR AND WILL NOT SET FOOT IN YOUR DEALERSHIPS AGAIN.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Easy to drive, comfortable, great suspension, keeps flat round the corners, great road holding(mines fitted with dunlop sport tyres). I have the 1.5 engine which is a little unrefined and noisy when accelerating but fine otherwise. Maybe underpowered but I expected that but I get 400 miles on a full tank which is 100 more than my galant so I am happy with the car.

    What's it like to park?

You really need reversing sensors fitted, they make a great difference. I can perfectly park using these everytime. The steering is light enough to do all this.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

THE ONLY THING I HAD A PROBLEM WITH WAS THE QUALITY OF THE CARPET ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AS IT WORE OUT AFTER 5ths OF HAVING THE CAR. SO MY DEALER (not local) WHO I DEAL WITH THRU MY WORK PERSUADED MITSUBISHI TO REPLACE THE CARPET F.O.C.

What's most practical about your car?

The reason why I bought it, the hatchback facility and the space inside the car.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

It had reversing sensors already fitted and is a must in reversing the car.
