Nissan Almera Tino (00-05) - rated 3 out of 5

Before Nissan revolutionised the family car business with its Qashqai crossover it had a go at extending its Almera line up with a Renault Scenic-aping compact MPV called the Almera Tino, launched in 2000.

Like the Renault this new Nissan only sat five and had conventional doors rather than sliding examples but the rear seats could be folded flat easily, or removed completely (not so easily) for anyone requiring maximum loading capability. With all the seats in place the Nissan Almera Tino could comfortably carry up to 440 litres of luggage in its boot.
