What does this car say about you?

I'm a family man who needs an economical practical car. I'm not overly concerned about image.

They think its a nice car with plenty of gadgets.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, because it's never let me down and does everything I need it to.

What are you likely to buy next?

Hate to say it, but probably a 4x4.

    £7,995

When did you buy the car?

    September 2005

Did you get a good deal and why?

I traded in my Rover 75 to buy this car. I was happy with the trade in price I got for the Rover and I even managed to knock £800 off the advertised price for the Primera.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It has a good size boot which accommodates my three dogs. It has built in sat-nav which I though was a great gadget.

    What was the dealer like?

I had dealt with the dealer before and know him quite well so, no problems there.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

I must say that although I'm not a big fan of the Primera's looks, it really is a joy to drive. The steering is responsive, acceleration from the 2.2 litre diesel is impressive as it it's top end speed. For an estate, it's happy enough to be driven hard and thrown into corners. It never complains.

    What's it like to park?

The Primera is fitted with a rear mounted reversing camera (just above the number plate) which makes parking a breeze. I've driven cars fitted with rear parking sensors and I have to say, I find the camera a superior product to the sensors as you're not reversing 'blind'.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    No.

What's most practical about your car?

Having three German Shepherd dogs, I would have to say that the most practical thing about the car is the size of the boot ... it's huge.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The built in sat-nav, which comes as standard on this model.
