The previous 2.5-litre has been superceded by a 3.0-litre version of the Ford V6 reworked by Noble with the help of a pair of turbochargers to produce 352bhp. A seriously fast car, yet more powerful versions are planned.

You might expect it to be hard riding and twitchy but you’ll find it as docile and forgiving as it’s possible for a responsive, mid-engined car to be. That makes exploiting its huge performance very easy.
