• Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

Doesn't like spending money on cars.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I haven't asked them. They may have no opinion on it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely (I prefer the auto), prehaps the biggest secret of the used car market, very cheap for a Toyota in disguise. Still good value new; a bit off the pace now compared to latest superminis but remember at 6.5 - 7K its the same price as city cars with basic spec and 3 cylinder engines.

What are you likely to buy next?

I liked my wifes so much I bought myself one, in an attempt to have cheap, reliable motoring for the next 5 years. I'll the be in my early 50's, probably the age when I want something flashier. Getting spares for Myvis seems fine, anyway most parts are same as Sirion (and sometimes Yaris).

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

Nothing special - ride is OK, but not really a drivers car. Grip is fine on standard 175/14 Goodyears on later cars. Auto is fairly quiet, smooth box with high gearing, but my other Myvi (manual) has more engine noise.

    What's it like to park?

    Boxy shape - very easy.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

100% reliable, as you would expect from its simple Toyota underpinnings.

What's most practical about your car?

Spacious inside, 5 doors, tall enough to wear a hat.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Spec is quite generous for a the price, has standard aircon, decent stereo.
