For the performance and comfort of a hot hatch it's very good. Better and quicker than Saxo, without a doubt.

Parts are fairly cheap if you look round, as quite a few of them are dying, scrap yards can be good!

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

If you enjoy driving go-karts on the road this is for you! The steering can be a little heavy, but at speed it is very responsive and accurate. Once you get used to it you gain the confidence to throw it into anything at speed and it will stick.

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

The quickest 1.6 8v you'll come across. After 4.5 rpm it flies! I blew the gearbox on mine, put a diesel gearbox in and the ratios were amazing!! 75 in 2nd, 105 in 3rd, 130 top end… enough said! Sounds fantastic on the limiter!

    Reliability

Now...If you're going to buy this card and drive it hard you will have problems. I did and in 12 months I did head gasket, piston rings, gearbox, clutch, wheel bearings. I had great fun doing it though! If your gonna drive it like a granny buy a 1.1!!

In my opinion they look quite mean. Standard wheels and 60mm drop all round. Classic peugeot styling.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

The 1.6's have a distinct advantage over the 1.4s here, very nice interior.
