Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I drive around 30k a year, and so I wanted a car that was practical and not too expensive. I chose the Peugeot 2008 after my last car literally died on me and I had not got enough in the bank for something pretty and fast and a wow looker! This car was bought for boot space for my work materials and had all the little gadgets that were needed. Bluetooth for my music as I am not a fan of radio even though it has DAB, driving around 90 miles a day I like tunes playing around the car to sing to rather than an advert after every song played on the radio. I can (safely) make phone calls. It has cruise control, ideal for smart motorways and not having that camera flash you. I actually enjoy driving this car. You read about the experts who have drove them and given them a pittance result. As I have drove this car for 4 years and so many miles I can give you what my honest thoughts are of this car. My husband drives a Mercedes. Beautiful car. Cars stop to allow you pass. But with a Peugeot 2008? You have no chance! So I drive it like the Mercedes and you know what? It's bloomin good at it! OK, it's not going to pull off at the traffic lights at 30mph but when you get used to the car, you can pull off with ease. It takes islands easily but go on the inside lane as it will pull over to the outside lane ( the way I drive it) but once you are used to how the car plays at how you work you will be a great team and whatever you do with the car it will work with you. I work on building sites and so my Peugeot 2008 has had lots of dust, sludge and mud to drive through. And it's great! I have had the car through deep mud and it's gone through it like a knife through butter, the lads on site are surprised that this little French car has done it without any fuss. Snow and ice? No problem. While hubbies Mercedes is quivering in fear on the drive refusing to move and slide around in tantrum the Peugeot 2008 drives along without a care in the world! Unfortunately, the people who do drive these cars are of the middle age group, like myself, and drive it too gently and carefully. Why? This car when you get to know it is pretty frisky! It enjoys speed, enjoys passing Audi's, Merc's and BMW's on the motorway, I find they move over for me as this car is not going to be slowed down by something that cost more and has more power. I've been lucky, too. In the four years of having the car, apart from yearly services, MOTs a few tyres and brake pads, I've not spent anything on the car. It's been reliable never let me down and been good to me. However, the only negatives of the car is that my version for some reason hasn't got a cup holder. Not a biggie, I know , but driving many miles sometimes I'd love a hot chocolate on those cold days when filling my car up at a garage and Costa coffee is on sale but I have to go without. And talking of cold! When it's frozen solid and hubby is able to use his heated window not only on rear but front, too. I have to wait for the end of the world for my Windows to clear. And if it freezes over, not only does the outside freeze but the inside, too. It is great on fuel, tax is next to nothing, insurance is cheap cost of keeping it is nothing great. So should you buy a second hand Peugeot 2008 or even a new one? Yes you should consider it. They are reliable and cheap to run and keep. And don't be afraid to go wild. I think your Peugeot 2008 would enjoy it. My overall thoughts? I have enjoyed driving the Peugeot 2008 it has to me been under estimated. It is a fun car to have. It's practical, no matter what time of year, its a hard car ( I know after a car went into the back of it on an island. The Peugeot had to have a new bumper after a sensor was broken. The other car? Wrote off!) So go look at them. Be adventurous put your mark on that car and you will realise that they are not that bad after all. If I drive a Mercedes as well as this car and prefer the Peugeot to the Mercedes isn't that telling you something? It's not going to be a show stopper but it's as hard as nails and will be the most practical car for you.
