    No

    What price did you pay?

    £1,990

When did you buy the car?

    February 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

Not really. I didnt check brake disc and pads condition, which resulted in replacement of the two rear discs and pads all round. Also cost me cos I wasent provided with locking wheel nut key, ended up having to get these locking wheel nuts drilled out and replaced with standard nuts. Watch out for that one.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    What was the dealer like?

OK, I suppose for a private dealer, but you always take a chance buying from these guys. My mistake in not checking on the locking wheel nut issue and brake discs/pad condition cost me around £400 to fix, lesson learned.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Yes and no. The diesel particulate filter (DPF) and repurge system although working correctly, didnt seem to me to offer good fuel efficiency. I decided to put a hole through the DPF and get a engine diagnostics professional to do DPF delete on the engine CPU. I had thought this would stop the DPF repurg (the engine burning extra fuel to increase exhaust temperature to burn off deposits in the DPF) that occurs on every journey once the engine gets up to normal operating temperature ~75-80 degC. However the DPF delete seems to have had no effect on this engine management process, even now on every journey for around 2 minutes the engine goes through this repurg (high temp) phase.

What's most practical about your car?

Despite the DPF issues its still reasonably fuel efficient (around 15 mpl) although still probably not great compared to most diesels.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

?? for me any car is just convenient method of getting A to B. Which brings me onto the seats. The one comfort i would like on any journey is a nice seat. They still look in OK condition despite the car doing 120K miles but for a longer journey (1 hour plus) terrible! I'm always glad to get out for a walk around after 80-90 minutes in that seat. And my partner says the same about the passenger seat, I will definitely demand extended test drive of my next car.
