I bought this for my wife last month having not liked the old boxtser at all so refused always to get one,. This is properly 80s, turbo is 'on' or 'off' - which I have to say is huge fun albeit pundit don't like it. My last Porsche was a 993 C4 and it was like a Kia by comparison to this.
She totally loves it and it has VERY loud boxer 4 noise like the impreza; frankly a revelation and I am a total convert. Shopping fits in the two 'boots' whereas in the 993 it was parma ham only.
it is impossible to see out of the rear quarter but her SLK was the same really so all in all I cannot recommend it highly enough. it is easy to drive and like a ludicrously fast go-kart. 10mpg on the station run is do-able....its not far.
