In their own words

After being a life long Jeep guy I found the Cayenne's rounded shape painful on the eye. Oddly, I now think the Cayenne was before its time where the styles of vehicles now are styled very much after it (Jaguar F-Pace, Aston DBX etc). What made me buy one was when I experienced the build quality and the drive... The handling is astonishing, Parkers are inaccurate with what specs were available on the pre-2007 (like PDCC and directional headlamps amongst many more). People complain about fuel economy, well let me say don't fret! Mine is the with a V8 and its will deliver almost the same as a 1 oeor 1.1 litre ford fiesta (had a courtesy car years ago) which never returned better than 22.1 mpg in the real world. Highway runs are 25-28 mpg which is reasonable. Its exceptional in snow - over the snake pass in Derbyshire (snake pass was closed due to snow so I took it for a test run). Reliability, well its been near faultless and the only issues have been caused by a heavy handed tech and a kerbstone in the middle of the road. I'd buy another petrol V8 (diesel out of fashion again). Ideally the 4.5 higher compression V8 rather than the 4.8 (no carbon buildup on the 4.5's). I've tested it off-road too where a Grand Cherokee Jeep shines and I have to say learn the drive system on the Porsche - it will amaze you and is also blessed with almost a foot of ground clearance which is something no Jeep gets from the factory.
