Economy
Value
Generally good value, for a good spec. Around £10000 should be added to the list price. This get the essentials (some of which should be standard) e.g. sat nav, phone, park sensors, good wheels etc
Costs
Servicing expensive, although only at 20000 mls. Warranty only 2 years and £720 for the third.

On the road
Driving
Excellent drive. Only have the car with air suspension, this will adjust to your style and give you option to set the car up - height/ comfort etc
Performance
Excellent. Feels more like a sallon car and certainly far better than a Range Rover.

Living with it
Reliability
Owned car since new July 2003. As a new model there were several issues/ recall etc. All now sorted and the car is superb. Dealer service was excellent. They always collect car and supply a suitable courtesy car.
Image
Range Rover to middle aged, ML down market and poor quality (built in USA!) and X5 are too common.
Comfort
Again need air suspension. Cabin functional rather than luxurious, but ergonomically very good.
