Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

It surprises everyone with its looks and ride. It is comfortable on long journeys - I do 24K per annum and it always goes where pointed. It never misfires or fails to start. My car is a bright red colour. The offside rear light cluster collects water - don't know why but seems to be a feature on this car. Other than that everything works and it is reasonably economical although not as economical as the Impian. According to the computer I should be getting 53.3MPG but in reality I get between 37.7 and 39.9MPG compared to the 41.9 - 42.2MPG I got with the Impian. I think the lower figure might be the winter tyres I am using as I took the decision to run two sets on this car as any accidents and the insurance company will almost certainly write it off as Protons don't hold much value and no longer sell here in the UK. I think Proton cars offer excellent value and it's a shame they pulled out of the market here. The engine in my car is the later model which is supposed to be more economical but doesn't seem to be. I hope to keep it for four years by which time it should have around 150,000 miles on it and be worth next to nothing.

How reliable do you find the car?

I've been extremely unlucky. I purchased a spare key only to find it was not the same as the one that came with the car. I needed a new offside rear shock, new windscreen (stone chip) plus have a new chip on new screen, broke the rear view mirror, changed a broken front fog light and had problems with the throttle body necessitating 4 or 5 trips to the garage eventually meaning I was 5 weeks without the car until the part came from Malaysia. Neither of the two franchise garages I deal with had ever changed a throttle body on this car nor had Proton UK ever sold one.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

I had an Impian before so I knew it was versatile. If I am honest the Impian ride was better and had slightly longer cargo area, but this is a lovely car able to transport 5 comfortably.
