Value
Expensive to buy and repair, depreciation quite high.

Normal running costs are good. Costs of repairing faults is very high. Mostly electrical problems.

Excellent driving position, comfortable seats.

Handles well given the size. The engine has plenty of life in it.

Comfortable ride in all the seats with lots of space for luggage.

Not at all impressed with the local Renault garage. On several occasions screws and bits of internal trim were not put back. Took ages to track down any problems.

Engine
Water pump just went (only 36,000 miles). Cost including major service £1,100. Earlier oil cooler replaced (£750), diesel computer (£600).
Other
Initial problems with wiring loom - replaced. Alarm fault (eventually fixed after taking to garage several times). Airbag computer (twice). Engine temperature indicator - replaced instrument panel. Electric window switch (twice). Air conditioning failed.
