no, its rover and although the engine is terrific, its rarely working 100%

Did you get a good deal and why?
yes i did get a good deal when i brought the car, however i and the previous owner didnt know at the time what was in store.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
cheap and this car looked a bargain, boy was i wrong.
What was the dealer like?
he was ok, bit fishy.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
i enjoyed this car at the time, it was fast for a 1.4, handled ok apart from the worn shocks all round. however you couldnt do corners at speed as your backside would slide about due to body roll. i thought the car was great but having just brought a 306 i now realise how great a stiffer suspension is, the 306 is flat and corners much better, but im talking about ''MY'' 214 which had work suspension and shocks, bear this in mind.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
ohhh here we go, head gasket failure, head replaced, timing belt needed replacing and was close to slipping off, lucky it never tho, front bushes and shocks broken and worn, rear shocks damaged, front left suspension needed replacing, clutch needed replacing and eventually came to a grinding holt, knocking in the steering wheel was a worry, front right wheel nuts would work loose often, gearbox was often a struggle to get into first and reverse, there was more but ill leave it at that and move on, lets just say this car is a small steel box now ready to be made paperclips.
What's most practical about your car?
decent size boot erm... rear leg room fair.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
my stereo that i installed, as standard tho this car was avererage...oh the sunroof was electric, best thing about it.
