Was given the car as an MOT failure. Cost me £100 for parts at the time plus the cost of the MOT

Do my own servicing so I haven't used the dealer for anything other than the RCL battery

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Nice driving position. Seats can be uncomfortable on long journeys (5 hours) but economical and relaxing. Not great to throw around B roads but can still be fun if you keep the turbo in boost.

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

Very economical. Not very fast, but very torquey engine. Bit too much turbo lag but accelerates niceley when turbo engages. Loud on startup but if warmed up properly before running it's very smooth. becoming a little bit smokey under hard acceleration.

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

20,000 miles in 7 months and I've gone through 1x front pads and a Head Gasket (which shot when i first got the car). Clutch judder is apparent but to be fair it's still on the original clutch with 182,000 miles on it and still going strong

    Image

I'm 21 and it's got that grandad image but for the mileage I do it's perfect. My friends were embarrased of me at first but now they all like it. From the front it's v.nicely styled and can almost pass for a coupe if no one sees the square boot.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Easy access, surprisingly supportive and well made seats. Left foot rest very comfortable for long journeys. Decent load space. Feels bigger than it is (put it next to a new modeo etc and look how small it actually is).

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

Alarm, immobiliser and RCL as standard.Sometimes the remote won't work but if the car is opened by the key and not the remote the immobiliser will not disengage until the remote is used again. Apparently this is a standard security feature. It's annoying.

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

Not had to deal with them

Loud on startup and tight if not allowed to warm up first. starting to smoke under acceleration in all gears.

Eats the standard brake discs. Big car weight with small car discs. Spend the extra and get upgrade or aftermarket discs.
