In their own words

Yes she’s a 2006 model, 13 years old now, but if you maintain & service them then they are fantastic. Of course at this age you need to start replacing some parts but on what car don’t you? I had mine remapped & I’d recommend all Saab drivers have this done to unlock the true potential of the cars performance. I also find the diesel engines need to be pushed hard every now & then. Get the revs going to push out any buildup on the egr system & dpf. I’m fortunate nor to have dpf on mine. My only gripe with my Saab is the stereo unit. I’d love to put in an aftermarket system but Saab in all there wisdom runs the entire SID system through it & using fibre optics it becomes a very tricky situation if you do try to change it. I would also recommend changing to winter tyres when the seasons change. We took the Saab down to Cornwall for out honeymoon (2 adults & 2 kids) & it never missed a heartbeat, economy was fantastic & the ride was extremely comfortable with plenty of boot space. My wife now has a Saab 9-3 Tid (120) estate which is perfect for family days out with the dogs & kids. It does lack the power but as I said earlier about remapping, hers will be get done shortly. All in all I love my 9-3Tid, it makes the drive to work enjoyable & the drive home stress free. And I would definitely have another one.
