In their own words

Being badge interested whilst not being particularly badge conscious, I had looked at various other similar spec'd models before selecting this model. My priorities (in order) were quietness, reliability, relaxed driving, towing capability, some "punch" if wanted and a higher specification. The Kodiaq provided them all and has been a pleasure to climb into and drive. I agree with a previous reviewer, how the knee can occasionally move the low-positioned lighting switch on entry or exit, and do find myself habitually checking it as I prefer the Auto position. Everything else is absolutely fine. The oil-18000 service period is better than the standard time-based,12-month maintenance one. The opening panoramic roof I like: as it can be effective during slow or stand-still traffic but its "raised" roof isn't of much ventilation driving use as the gap is so minimal. I have found the sliding adjustable rear seats a boon, as well as the fact that the rear camera helps position easily the (retractable in my model) tow bar for first connecting. All those little "extras such as the removable rear torch, the umbrellas, the ice scraper and the under-boot stowage might appear gimmicky - but they have also proved useful too!! It appears a very' computerised' car and most especially the auto gearbox which can be lazy on hill acceleration unless you bang the foot down and come down a couple of gears. Once you get used to it - it performs I think very, very well. There are remote switching, steering wheel based for information and media controls but the finger proximity-touch seems so much quicker, somehow. Next... I will be looking at the VRs.
