Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, we thought so. Didn't trade in our VW as sold privately. Octavia is a 62 plate and had done 15,800 miles.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
To replace 2004 VW Passat. Had owned a 2002 Octavia before and had liked it, so decided to try a newer model.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent service. Used them twice before. Very helpful, fair and friendly.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very responsive on the throttle, smooth auto change and very useful having the benefit of manual gears as well. Firm, but comfortable ride.
What's it like to park?
Very simple and made easy with the exterior parking sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Had to have the rear wiper motor replaced under the warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
Where do I start? Huge boot (seems bigger than the Passat estate!). MPG very very good especially at low, steady speed. Reach high 60s no problemroomy interior, comfortable (firm) ride,.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Built in satnav is great. Rear parking sensor is SO useful. Like the SD card option to listen to our music, but also has a CD slot. Having the manual option gear box is handy in a traffic queue. Wish we had cruise control but didn't come with this model.
