In their own words

Basic design of the car is very good as are the equipment levels. On paper it represents very good value for money. However in the year of ownership my car has had multiple faults that should not be present in a new car. Vibration from an unbalanced prop shaft, broken door handles, oil leak from 4x4 PTU, media display unit looses memory, crankshaft sensor fault, multiple ECU faults triggering limp home mode, internal electrical interference requiring removal of dashboard panels and re routing of throttle wiring. In the absence of these faults the car would represent good value for money. I would avoid the low profile tyres which are very noisy, the climate control unit is also noisy but bearable and the auto box is very good once warmed up. I have also noted the diesel doesn't tolerate supermarket fuel which seems to make the DPF regenerate more frequently. On a positive note the dealership was extremely good and Ssangyong UK did get involved to a point but for me the number and frequency of faults on a car with such low mileage is not acceptable and indicates poor quality control. I would not buy another.

How reliable do you find the car?

Issues with prop shaft vibration, gearbox oil leaks, broken exterior door handles, media display unit faults, ECU faults, electrical interference within the car requiring re wire.
