In their own words

Very disappointed, I bought into the Subaru brand after much research, based on the reputation for reliability. Not so. The most unreliable car I've ever owned & I have had many Citroens from the 80s & 90s. Never again will I have a Subaru.. No problems at all with the repairs at the dealer, courtesy car available & all repairs done quickly & good communications. After 10 years of Skoda ownership with only two very minor warranty repairs, I needed something larger & that led me to Subaru. Big mistake. It's now gone, traded in for a 1 year old Skoda Kodiaq, that's head & shoulders above the Scooby in every regard, comfort, driving experience, fit & quality of interior, external panels & all the small attentions to detail that make the Kodiaq stand out as a fantastic all-rounder & user-friendly family car. I was expecting much more from Subaru based on their reputation for reliability but was let down big time. If you're considering buying a Forester, please don't, you'll regret your decision. Maybe I was unlucky & had a bad example, but it was an ex-demo car with 9k miles on after 1 year when I bought it. Good discount from the dealer & I managed to wangle a towbar into the deal, now I know why they were so keen to get shot of it.

How reliable do you find the car?

4 visits to dealer in 2 years for repairs under warranty. Aircon hose failed, aircon condenser failed, front suspension bottom arm bushes replaced & section of exhaust fractured, replaced.
