  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

It has the reputation of an OAP's shopping cart boyracers laugh at it when they see me behind the wheel but when the foot goes down and the revs build it can show a lot of them up.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Parked in a car park you could walk past it and never really notice it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes in a heart beat its small cheap Japanese super reliable some parts are Suzuki only I'm led to believe, insurance for me at 25 fully comp with 6 years NCD £189. I just wish Suzuki didn't stop making them.

What are you likely to buy next?

Another ignis from a granny who's kept it in a garage and used it once a month to go see Edna down the road, if you want small cheap reliability don't discount this super little car on its looks you would be a fool.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Lovely highish driving position the indicators and windcreen wiper stalks are the opposite way round to everyother car ive driven, 1.3 DOHC engine goes like a rocket from 4000rpm to about 6500rpm be warned though its not built for cornering at speed and in the area of this rev band it drinks a bit, but if you keep the revs below 3000rpm its actually very good on fuel comfy for its age but looks are dated but that's nothing to worry about its a super reliable little car I can't give it enough praise!.

    What's it like to park?

Very very very easy with the car been so light weight the door cards and windscreen pillars are thin the only real blind spot is the rear left corner when reversing.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Its X reg (2000) one of the first ones on the road last year it required a battery and 2 rear wheel bearings and a section of exhaust, obviously with its age its had tyres brakes bulbs etc all cars do, starts first time every time on the button. Body work wise its solid 1 tiny spot of rust developing on the drivers side rear arch.

What's most practical about your car?

The flat level carrying space when the rear seat backs are folded down flat no need to lift the rear seat squab either.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Its got nothing really its basic it has 2x electric windows and door mirrors and central locking, that's probably why its so reliable its not crammed with unnecessary electronics that in my eyes are more to go wrong.
