  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

Says it's what we can afford!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They have newer & more expensive cars, so we don't think they're envious! But the fact that it starts each time we get in it (& goes on its way [with us in it: it's not "Knight Rider"!])---is a good advert. for its reliability.

Would you buy this car again and why?

For reliability (starting, & similar): yes. Not for the ride quality. Would need to be at a bargain price & in good condition (like we were blessed to get this current one at).

What are you likely to buy next?

Still a petrol-driven, manual car: but, preferably one with 5 doors; zero, or low, road tax; lower insurance group; & more m.p.g.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £1,300

When did you buy the car?

    September 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, it was a reasonable price- & with over 8 months road tax on it (those were the days!).

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Simply needed a new (to us!) car.

    What was the dealer like?

Husband & wife team who listened to us; treated us as people (did not rush us); & cared (even though it was a comparatively lower priced car).

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

Our car's suspension is good (including us having new coils fitted recently): but the ride is still severely jolted when going over council estate speed humps; potholes, & ruts (even at slow speed, & trying to avoid them).

    What's it like to park?

Visibility a bit limited, so need to be extra careful!

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Main issue is a sneaky Suzuki ruse to sell more of THEIR parts: when Lambda sensor failed, the fitting of Universal (cheaper) replacement triggers the Electronic Management light staying illuminated.

What's most practical about your car?

    Reliable.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    None.
