  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

That I'm trying to get decent MPG whist still looking good.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it and it's styling.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, I love the style, economics and handling.

What are you likely to buy next?

Maybe something bigger, legroom is good but the boot capacity is rather laughable and annoying at times; I had to put a part of the seat down to fit an old style CRT computer monitor in the boot, it just didn't quite fit.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Excellent, my friends and family have been impressed by the little 1.3 Diesel engine, it has decent low down torque and is quite a good performer. When driving with a car full of people it starts to feel a little out of breath but I can't complain. When the car isn't fully loaded you rarely have to downshift for hills it just keeps pulling. Despite the small engine displacement and vehicle size, this car is very comfortable on the motorway it cruises at 70MPH very nicely. I have sometimes felt the need for a sixth gear; when the car is traveling at 70MPH its doing about 2350RPM so there's a little noise and I think it would be more economical with a sixth gear. The steering is responsive and has plenty of feel and visibility is excellent.

    What's it like to park?

Very easy, due to the great visibility and large door mirrors. Parking at night time is also very easy as the reverse lights are very bright and are both sides of the vehicle. Although the SZ4 is top spec no parking sensors are fitted, but they aren't really necessary.
