Suzuki Vitara 1.4 Boosterjet SZ-T auto 5d Owner Review

1.4 Boosterjet SZ-T auto 5d
Suzuki Vitara review (2022) front view, driving

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

A greatly underrated alternative to other less practical, less capable and more expensive SUV type family cars ... and actually able to be had with Allgrip 4x4. A bit of a tardis inside relative to the very sensible exterior dimensions. More than enough up to date kit even in the SZ-T version. Some good deals to be had, and nearly new or low mileage used are a good buy too. Anybody looking for a practical family car that is actually fun to drive should test drive a Vitara. The auto looks like it will deliver 42mpg generally and 45mpg on longer A road trips. Excellent visibility all round and rear parking cameras too ...but audible parking sensors would be better I think. Not keen on the Bridgestone tyres it is on. Had these on Suzuki’s before and found Avon’s much better. When it comes to tyre change always worth researching as tyre type makes a big difference to handling and mpg. Infotainment unit has lots of options but not that easy to use ...worth getting a lesson in how to get the most out of it!

How reliable do you find the car?

Early days but having had Suzuki’s before I fully expect years of trouble free driving.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Pleasantly surprised how much punch the 1.4 boosterjet has! So much so you need to be careful of torque steer.
