You get quite a lot of car for your money.

Quite a bouncy ride, very van like, good seat height for getting in and out.

OK off road, despite other reports saying its not. On road, not the best at the traffic lights.

150k and still starting 1st time & it runs super. most parts available from the motor factors still

image not deserved... its a fine off roader ground clearance can be a problem, but you can buy lifting kits to solve this if you find it a problem.
Comfort
Basic, quite a bit of road noise from rear wheels. Very van like, fine for 2 people but little leg room for the rear seats.

You need a secondary security system as they are about as secure as the early Land Rover Defenders were!

Engine
The 8 Valve carburettor engine bomb proof, with regular services oil and filter at £15, why mess about? Also worth doing at less than the 6,000 mile intervals.
Other
Small oil leaks and rot in the o/s front chassis leg now plated up fine. The vehicle should have been treated with cavity wax from day 1, well worth doing even at 150,000 miles.
