What does this car say about you?

I am a cheapo or sandle wearing tree hugger!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Neighbour is thinking - car number 4- bloody hell this bloke has got money to throw!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes and No - I bought this car for the grandmum to do the school run. I probably would buy something akin to this again for first time car when my kids demand some wheels at 17 - but for me - I think I would not go hunting one down.

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably - a super car - hybrid preferably

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £7,400

When did you buy the car?

    August 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

Got a great deal, bought the car with only 1300 miles on the clock and seeing what Citroen and Peugot offered me for what is effectively the same car - I truly bagged a bargain - the car comes with metallic paint, alloys and I had air con and as you will read ... ended up with a bluetooth kit fitted and that special polish pack supaguard as well.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    School run for the grandmother

    What was the dealer like?

I knew what I wanted when I entered the dealership have scouted the local citroen and peugot dealers. I also knew what I could get for my money. The dealer was smart and knew under credit crunch world I was here still to spend some precious dosh. We did the deal pretty quickly with some reasonable compromise. Where things went a bit pear shaped was on the delivery date with a slight hitch on getting the car taxed and ready when agreed. Also follow through on setting up a service plan is not great and this process has yet to date been completed. 6/10 on the way they have dealt with me ie above average but not shining

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

slow, sluggish but in London - hey we all end up driving that way whether in a Porsche, Benz or Bentley - except you pay pittance for the same journey which they pay pounds and lots o them to do the same thing

    What's it like to park?

Okay - front end is hard to judge and the back well that again is fine - people say its a doddle I would say its like any other car - probably not as easy as the SMART car though - I hav the 5dr remember!

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

No - it works well - sluggish start - but then driving a SLK and a 350 ML (a real carbon burner I know -- dumping it soon at my own personal financial cost) I would think is slow! Not one to honestly rev up with someone at the traffic lights!

What's most practical about your car?

Practicality -- zippy in London and cheap to run - this is not a hugely practical car for those with buggies or those planning a trip to Wales or anywhere north of Watford.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Bluetooth defo! Although love the mean alloys and the m. back paint. AC good to have but I prefer the window down. Love also the front lights - far superior in the finishing to its rivals - I reckon I probably will keep the car til 10K and then sell it on - albeit I think its one of those in terms of design which simply does not lose its looks
