In their own words

The car is generally good but I am disappointed by the fuel consumption, which is higher than the 2.0litre BMW I exchanged for it. I cannot see the point of a hybrid if it does not deliver good fuel consumption. Handling and general performance are good and the car is comfortable. Bodywork is alarmingly flexible (the wings collapse inwards if you lean on them!) with a plastic rear door. It has some annoying quirks, such as the radio going off when you switch off the engine and the engine locks up if you don’t go through the correct procedure switching on. Have not had the car long enough to say anything about reliability but I expect Toyotas to be very reliable and it has been so far. Space is limited because there is an extra battery in the back of the 2.0 litre version but I don’t often carry more than two people so this doesn’t affect me. Satnav is basic but quite good but I would prefer if it defaulted in the appropriate orientation on the screen. The audio performance is very good with high quality sound for classical music which I listen to most of the time when driving.
