    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

Now cheap. What else can you buy that gives 150mph performance for this price and still feels safe?

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Parts can be pricey, but there are several aftermarket suppliers now.

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Surprisingly docile. The steering is made heavy by the fat tyres and the long bonnet takes a bit of getting used to. Very good driving position and surprisingly good visibility.

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

Still pretty stunning, even with nearly 100k miles on the clock. For a heavy car, it has a terrific turn of speed.

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Rare that anything goes wrong. This is, after all, a Toyota!

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Possibly the nicest front three-quarter aspect of any car around. It's a pity the designers lost concentration on the rear end. Nonethess, it's purposeful looks go with the muscle it boasts.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Sports suspension - meaning pretty firm. But the seats are very good and offer one of the best driving positions around.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

I have a Cobra alarm fitted. Need I say more?

    Service

    4 out of 5 4.0

Rarely had to use dealership - so this rating is for getting work done by smaller garages.

Bulletproof, they say, unless the head gasket goes. I hope mine will not!

    Other

Brake disks go out of true sometimes - not expensive to replace, however.
