Ford Ranger Raptor dimensions

The Ford Ranger Raptor is more of a lifestyle leisure vehicle than a working pickup - it doesn't even qualify for light commercial vehicle tax rates - but it's stiill got a large load bed area and plenty of capability... if not a great deal of payload.

Find out more about all of this, and exactly how big it is, on this page.

For details of what the Ranger Raptor is like to drive, its standard equipment and the ownership experience, see our main review page instead by clicking on the tab above.

Ford Ranger Raptor (19-22) capacity & size

3.5 out of 5 3.5

The Raptor is the longest, widest and tallest member of its Ford Ranger family, featuring not only extensively modified suspension but also bespoke bodywork and chassis engineering as well.

Its total length is 5,363mm, which is a mere 4mm longer than a regular Ranger double cab.

However, at 1,873mm tall, it stands 25mm higher than the next tallest model, and though it's only 7mm wider if you measure between the outside edges of the door mirrors (2,180mm), the actual bodywork is so much bigger that it's 51mm wider when the mirrors are folded (2,083mm).

Full Ford Ranger Raptor external dimensions:

  • Length: 5,363mm
  • Width with door mirrors folded: 2,083mm
  • Width including door mirrors: 2,180mm
  • Height (unladen): 1,873mm
  • Track width: 1,710mm
  • Wheelbase: 3,220mm

Ford Ranger Raptor load bed dimensions:

  • Load length at floor: 1,575mm
  • Load width at floor: 1,560mm
  • Load width between wheelarches: 1,139mm
  • Loading height from ground: 906mm

All these figures exactly match a standard Ranger double cab except the loading height, which is increased 49mm but the Raptor's raised suspension.

Wouldn't worry too much about this, as you won't be putting anything too heavy in there anyway...

Ford Ranger Raptor (19-22) payload, weight & towing

3.5 out of 5 3.5

We deal with this more extensively on the main review page, but the Raptor's off-road modifications make it so heavy that all that's left for legal payload is 620kg.

SImilarly, it will legally only tow 2,500kg (2.5 tonnes) when the rest of the Ranger line-up is capable of hauling 3,500kg (3.5 tonnes).
