What does this car say about you?

I like something sporty but not bothered about paying extra for a premium badge. I just buy a car if I like it, I'm not really interested in what it 'says' to others.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it, looks nice and nice to travel in, they've enjoyed having a drive too!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, I think the GTC is a very good car - better build quality (IMO) than a Megane Coupe and considerably more affordable and bigger inside than a Sirocco of comparable age and mileage.

What are you likely to buy next?

I'm not generally a Vauxhall fan but I like this model and have been impressed so far. I prefer to buy used and purchase outright and this would be hard to beat as a used buy for quality and value. Possibly another GTC or it's replacement due in a few years time or a Leon Cupra.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Great value - excellent condition, competitive price, fair p/x and 12 months warranty from Vauxhall main dealer. Extended to 3yrs with extra 2yrs RAC Platinum warranty for an extra £299.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed a more economical car to use for business purposes but something I'd enjoy that still had some practicality.

What was the dealer like?

Very good, turned down my offer initially but relented!

What's it like to drive?

Excellent. Effortless mid-range punch, high levels of composure and grip, nice gear change. Enjoyable, could just do with a little more steering feedback.

What's it like to park?

It is a large car for a 3 door hatch with a slightly restricted view at the rear and large doors. I would specify rear parking sensors if buying new.

Have you had any problems with the car?

No.

What's most practical about your car?

Huge boot and sizable accommodation in the rear.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Digital Radio and it looks so much better with the 19" 5 spoke alloys.
