What does this car say about you?

Unfortunately it tells people that i am a boy racer, which i have expressed i am not.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My friends & family love it, describing it as roomy and comfortable. Even though it only has a driver Airbag, they still feel safe too. My neighbours however dislike the double exhaust that was fitted to it before i bought it, but who cares what your neighbours think anyway haha.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would yes, because it is easily maintained, low on fuel, easily parked and comfortable.

What are you likely to buy next?

I would perhaps buy another Corsa B but i wil probably move onto something bigger like a Skoda fabia Vrs, 04-07 model but i can tell you wont be buying a new corsa, not because they arn't good, i trust vauxhall in that, but just because nearly every second person has a bloody new corsa!!

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £850

When did you buy the car?

    January 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Im not too sure if i did or not to be totally honest. The car was at 79,000miles when i bought it, good body with barely any rust (partially due to respay and replacement body parts, cant be sure) good interior condition, original Club fittings and everything in working order. However it did come with tinted rear lights, wind guards, alloys, double exhaust and special air intake apparently. I was happy enough with the price when i bought it though so im happy enough. Unfortunately it does look a little like a boy racer car, and i can assure you i am not one of them haha. The car also came with 1 years MOT and Tax not forgetting. However, the car came with its faults. It needed 2 new tyres, a new windscreen, and a few interior plastics. Not to much of a problem.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I have always wanted a small Corsa B since i was a child as my family owned 4 in total, making the Corsa part of many good childhood experiences.

    What was the dealer like?

I bought the corsa from a man in Inverurie in Aberdeenshire, close as i live in Aberdeen, selling the car on behalf of his friend. He seemed genuine enough and explained that they had bought the car to fit a 2L 'Red-top' engine, however the plan had fallen through when they had decided to adapt another car. In all, the guy was very friendly, but seemed slightly dodgy, but still i soldiered on and bought the car, stupidly without ever seeing it in the daylight.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

The Corsa is rather good to drive, simple, comfortable and nippy. In Town the it feels at home in the city, cost effective, little & Quick. Out of Town the it can surprisingly take to A & B roads very good, holding the road & great fun too! Motorways, depending on you, it can be either a nightmare or a dream. 0-60mph, you can forget about it. It decides how long you will take to get to 60mph, which can sometimes be a while depending on how hot the engine is. It is very good on fuel & would be ideal for a person travelling long distance. In General, it's a really fun car to drive, working well in urban areas & also working really well on the countys back roads. Motorway work, as i said is good for some, but bad if you are the kind that prefers fast accelerating cars. Saves on fuel too!

    What's it like to park?

Parking in this car is great! From the drivers seat you basically have a 360 degree of the happenings around the car, and due to the overall size of the car you can fit anywhere. The only down side it that due to the rather long doors for easy access in and out the rear of the car, you have to be careful and aware of how you get out of your car.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

So far nothing at all has gone wrong with the car, and it shouldn't do as i keep it in the best condition possible.

What's most practical about your car?

Everything! -Fuel consumption is minimal -Very roomy in the car, fits 4 comfortably, or Me and a full drum kit haha -The boot isnt to large, but with the fold-away parcel tray it is very good -Sunroof it very good -Heating quick and effective dare i say more of have you got the jist?

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

My favourite part of the car is that its electrical gadgets are but a digital clock, date and temperature gauge. Meaning that the car is totally free of difficult computerised bits and bobs, which in turn means you can repair everything yourself and if not costs are very cheap as you dont need a stupid Bosch computer to ask your car whats wrong at £100 an analysis. I also bloody love the Sunroof you get in this model!!
