What does this car say about you?

Says I don't have much money to spend on a car, but it gets me from A-B, gets me to uni, gets me to my part-time job. It has opened doors for me, I have a range stickers on it, it's my little transport device that I am proud of. The spacious boot is great for my cleaning job.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It's a good little runner. Think it is great on fuel. I can get from Crewe to Cardiff there and back ( about 400 miles) on one full tank and still have about 20 miles left!

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would recommend someone to buy this car if they were low on budget or as a first car. Like all old cars, there's going to be some rust issues and wear and tear. As long as you've picked a runner, you've picked a smooth first car. However, there are no passanger airbags.

What are you likely to buy next?

I do not know yet. I am in uni, I intend to run this car into the ground and hopefully I will get another 3 years out of it! Althoug, if I become 25 and still have this car, I might have to take my stickers off and grow up a little.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £995

When did you buy the car?

    July 2010

Did you get a good deal and why?

At the time I thought it was good, the miles were low 48,000 for its age, it had two owners that were older, and full service history. Looking back, I should of asked for it a bit cheaper.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

For my first car. It had low miles for its age, 48,000. This type of car was always the cheapest to insure for me when I looked.

    What was the dealer like?

A friendly older man, selling his mother's car.

    What's it like to drive?

It is quite a smooth drive for an old car. On the motorways it is noisy, you can hear the road surface, etc, but that is expected on old cars. I just put the radio on and I cannot hear the wind noise then.

    What's it like to park?

Very easy. It has power steering and as it has as it is such a compact shape parking is so easy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

It is a 16-year old car. Rust is a problem with all old cars, I have had some rust work done with it, and recently the radiator had been replaced. As this car is cheapest to insure for me compared to other similar spec cars, the repairs are worth it, as the problems I experienced can happen to any 16-year old car.

What's most practical about your car?

It is small and so is easy to park. Compared to other old first time cars, the windscreen offers a wide view and for an old car it is quite a smooth drive. The boots is also spacious as is the back seats. These drop down fully leaving you with a complete flat space too.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

This model has an immobiliser. The radio is easy to change, I have a cd player in there now. The dashboard is spacious and displays the date, time and temperature.
