In their own words

I like the torque of the 2.0 Diesel and the seating together with good visibility and good boot space , however the clutch needed renewing at 40,000 as it started to slip also as the se has electric handbrake when u reversed up hill the handbrake would disengage early as the clutch was worn and didn’t have a proper bite on clutch . The 1st hot day of the year the car started beeping at me telling me to pull over and let the engine idle to cool down as it had over heated , I had the car towed home as the guy from the RAC confirmed my thought that the oil cooler had leaked oil into the water as the water bottle was full of black oil . So I bought the car from a Vauxhall dealer 2 years ago at 28000miles on the clock ( x mobility) it has done 42000 miles now and broken down twice and cost £1000 for clutch and i am awaiting the bill for fixing the oil cooler ( £250 ish in parts ) It’s had multiple flushes to clean the oil out of the water system so probably not gonna be cheap .As an aside my so in-law has the same engine in his insignia and also had to change his clutch at 41000 common fault ? Any way have had 15 Vauxhall’s from bangers to New and this has been the worst for breakdowns and costs . So have been back in wife’s 8 year old Skoda yeti and any longer journey for a while until I can get confidence back in Zafira, but this could well be last Vauxhall hope u all have better luck than me
