In their own words

Purchased in 2006 at 27000 miles for business use, other Audis and Vws have come and gone, but it's 2020 and the Bora now at 257000 miles just keeps going. It's still even on the original clutch and exhaust! Comfortable and well balanced handling - not particularly sporty but very forgiving, great in the snow! Amazing engine uses no oil, few problems and reasonable parts prices, easy to work on; what's not to like? Cambelt is the costliest item but at 4 years or 120000 miles can be budgeted. Bodywork still good, I did swap the front wings for a perfect used pair of genuine VW wings the right colour as the usual arch rot kept reappearing. Easy DIY swap and wax treat hidden areas. Buy a code reader to keep on top of issues with the engine coil packs. These cars are getting older now but look for one that hasn't been neglected or poorly modified and you shouldn't go far wrong.
