Impressed. Even in 1999 it was a modern day classic.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Performance and economy were way ahead of the time and it upholds the sports hatch ideal.
What are you likely to buy next?
Audi TT - Money means I cdan buy a virtual supercar that handles and is reasonable to run at a fraction of the cost.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Easy to drive. Despite the heavy steering it always seemed nimbled and torquey.
What's it like to park?
A sinch. No power steering, but easily manouverable due to its light weight.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Performance and acceleration always put a smile on my face. Though no boy racer, the 8V was easy to handle around town aswell. The gearbox leaked oil at around 125k and it had to go. Working for VW, the gearbox was always the weak link.
What's most practical about your car?
5 door hatchback with excellent performance, say no more!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Colour, wheels performance.
