    No idea,.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it, a good all rounder.

Would you buy this car again and why?

For reliability, practicality and comfort reasons I would certainly buy a Golf GTDi again.

What are you likely to buy next?

I would like a cabriole next time, maybe an Audi A5 TDi, but that would depend on finances.

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £6,500

When did you buy the car?

    October 2010

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think it was a fair deal at the time, plus I got the warranty and the full road Tax when I asked for it.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My other car was written off due to an accident, I have always had Golfs and have found them really good to drive. I get a lot of mileage as I have a Diesel (540 miles on 50 Liters) and can get out of difficult situations fast as I have the Turbo version. I have moved 3 Students and belongings 9 times and found the space to transport things amazing. A very happy Golf Driver.

    What was the dealer like?

He was courteous and friendly and gave me a 6 months warranty, plus the Road Tax for a Year.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

I love driving it. 5th gear makes a lot of difference on motorways as it seems to be very economical and just cruises along nicely. Great on German Motorways as it really does go pretty fast when allowed (no problems up to 130 mph) any more and I have to put the foot really down to the ground to get 140mph.

    What's it like to park?

Really easy to park. The shape is great as there is no boot to worry about and with the power steering I can get into very tight spaces without any problems.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not really, had to replace the normal things like cambelt, brake pads, battery etc. Have done 155.000 miles (of which 100.000 myself in the last 4 years since I bought it second hand) and engine runs fine. No rust,.

What's most practical about your car?

Amazing loading capacity, power steering, Diesel fuel, Turbo, shape for parking (no big sticking out boot to worry about).

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

My favourite is the Turbo and the Power Steering. I am still from a generation when not all cars had power steering, my first car was a Citroen Ami 8 which needed a lot of steering; now I feel really happy and proud when I can get into a space with only 10-15 cm space front and back. The Turbo is amazing too, it has got me out fast from a few hairy situations.
