• Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

Likes to be understated and restrained. Not brash and quite a thoughtful individual (I hope!!!!).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Amazed at the quality and VFM. If any of them ask you why you didn't buy a Jaguar, Audi etc then they just don't get it and it's probably not worth trying to explain to them why you choose it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Certainly however I wouldn't consider buying a older more mileage car I can see these costing lots of money once they get older.

What are you likely to buy next?

Have no idea. Who else makes a understated super saloon??

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £13,000

When did you buy the car?

    July 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

I felt the prise was fair. I had not seen another LWB vehicle with the 3.0lt diesel engine (apparently only 21 of them have been registered in the UK) Also the mileage was very low which seemed hard to find on cars within my budget.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I really liked the understated look, also I am a long standing VAG customer.

    What was the dealer like?

Bloody useless. Talk about not being able to organise a pee up in a brewery. Moral of the story. Don't buy a VW from a Jaguar main agent.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Amazing. Quiet, effortless and very comfy as you'd expect.

    What's it like to park?

You will struggle remember it is longer and in some cases wider than a MPV. However with auto dipping wing mirrors and very good parking sensors it's not to much trouble. Just remember how big it is.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only the centre air vent retracting cover.

What's most practical about your car?

For a large car it hides it's size well. Having memory seats programmed to the key remote is also a God send.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Now this is hard. The car as standard has a lot of toys and if you happen to buy one with extras fitted then you really will have a hard choice deciding. I'd say the cooler function on the seats. No more sweaty botty!!!!!!
