In their own words

We have had the Tiguan for coming up a year now, which has been trouble free. The new 7 speed DSG is a big improvement over the 6 speed fitted previously and the engine is surprisingly quiet. We recently drove the car to the Highlands and back fully loaded with 4 passengers and averaged around 45mpg, which is very good considering it is a 4wd auto. The 150hp diesel is adequate and has plenty of torque to make it smooth with the auto gearbox. The standard seats are very comfortable and the rears slide to allow for more luggage or to change the angle of the backrest. The standard audio is also fine and there is standard apple car play/android auto, which works well. We had the heads up display on our vehicle and also the Active Info dash option. I probably wouldn’t bother with the heads up display if I had to choose again as it really doesn’t provide that much info and it’s a lot of money. The active display is very good and well worth the money if you can afford it. The only slight niggle is the ride can be slightly firm, but the seats are comfortable enough to deal with this and it does mean the Tiguan will corner like a normal car despite its height.
