What does this car say about you?
That I don't care about showing off in this stage of my life. I like reliability and a car with a bit of a soul!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family like it especially when it comes to filling it up with gas- my little brother watches me do it! My grandad likes the heated seats! Friends think its cool and a bit of a big red beast!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yeah, I wouldn't mind another, they are so reliable and well built, my mechanic reckons they were the last of the properly built cars.
What are you likely to buy next?
Maybe a Merc E class (old diesel one or LPG) that can run forever. I heard the diesel E class's are able to run on neat veg oil! But I may just get another volvo or an old beetle!

Knocked a few quid off the asking price- but it's a cheap car anyway!

lpg conversion & volvo reliablilty

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
You have to have a patient nature! Its a big heavy old car so you can't expect miracles- just give it time to wind up and it will cruise- I'm not in a rush anyway!
What's it like to park?
Really good turning circle, but it's very long and the saloon boot is a bit hard to judge how far you are from cars behind- especially with protuding tow bar!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No, 170,000 miles and it starts everytime, whether it's freezing cold or roasting hot- it always keeps it's cool, and keeps on going!
What's most practical about your car?
The size of it! It's massive which means that you get good road presense, ie, people move when you rock up!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
LPG gas conversion- makes running the swedish tank cheap! Also lekky windows, heated seats and sunroof are nice for an old car!
