Did you get a good deal and why?
i got a gread deal. the head gasket had gone to the point that water 'squirting' out of the expansion tank. car did run but got very hot very fast. towed it 107 miles back to my house (using an older volvo 440) the v40 idled for 4 hours in order to have brakes and steering. spent one weekend on the car, changing the head gasket. the car has driven perfectly ever since.

What's it like to drive?
very very easy, very quiet and goes well.
What's it like to park?
very easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
nothing gone wrong really, the lamda light comes on the dash after about 5 mins of driving and stays on for the rest of the journey, but still drives fine!
What's most practical about your car?
fairly good on fuel, about 40mpg if driven nicely
