Volvo V40 Hatchback (2012 - 2019) D3 SE Lux (Nav) 5d Owner Review

Very comfortable over long journeys especially and plenty of power and acceleration when needed in the D3 engine. Slightly clunky and slow in second gear, but this is more than compensated in higher gears and even 5th and 6th have good pull when required. The SE Lux Nav spec gives a very good comfortable cabin all round but the complexities of A/C and windscreen clearance is occassionally baffling and the driver's heated seating sometimes switches itself on ? Very minor faults at the end of warranty to USB charger and pass. side mirror motor were replaced by excellent local dealer. We had thought about XC60 or bigger but dont really need that size and are happy with this car and spec. 5 adults is a bit of a squeeze but very rarely needed and only for short trips. Boot space is ample for our needs. Improvement we would recommend to this spec would be electronic seat adjustment as opposed to the existing mechanical lever height adjustment. Mileage consistently averages over 50mpg
