Volvo V50 (2004 - 2012) 1.6 D2 (115bhp) R DESIGN 5d Owner Review

Most unreliable car I have owned and am extremely disappointed. I expected much better from Volvo and this car is less reliable than the 05 plate Ford Focus it replaced despite having almost half the mileage. My car is 1 owner from new with a full Volvo dealer service history, yet in less than a year i have had a new A./C compressor, a new fuel rail sensor after the car cut out intermittently. Problems going into limp mode and issues with the DPF light coming on despite the car being used mainly for long journeys and minimal short runs around town. Now the car is cutting out again and it's been to 3 garages who all tell me nothing is wrong with it. I will be getting rid of this car as soon as I've put it through it's MOT and wouldn't have another one if you paid me. A real shame as it's a lovely car when it works, however from my experience reliability leaves a lot to be desired and this is going to be my first and last diesel Volvo.
