1.6 D2 (115bhp) R DESIGN 5d

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I bought the car second hand with 24k on the clock. At about 30k the slave cylinder went on the clutch, I was informed that the clutch was past it's best and that it would also be best replacing the dual mass fly wheel also. Then had problems with the car going into limp mode and after investigations the problem turned out to be the fuel filter. This was at approx 35k. Overall the car is very nice to drive and is extremely comfortable, the dash layout is good and simple to use. The 1.6 D2 engine though is a big big let down. It is lumpy on idle and when setting off it either stalls due to not enough revs, if you try more revs you simply shoot forward. In slow moving traffic the car bounces when crawling in 2nd gear. Once going though it is very smooth and comfortable. The D3 or D4 would be a much better choice.

How reliable do you find the car?

Slave cylinder on clutch failed at 30k . Clutch had already started slipping so had new clutch and dual mass fly wheel at a cost of approm £900

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Feel the engine is a big let down. Feels underpowered.
