In their own words

Positives: Stylish estate car, good comfortable seats, nice to drive, decent amount of room for a family of 4. Negatives: Build quality not a good as my previous cars(Honda/BMW), gearbox mount replacement(£150), new stop-start battery(£185), 4 diesel injectors(£936). Add to this the cost of regular maintenance and wear and tear, this car has cost me nearly £2,500 in the last 21 months. Given that the car cost me £8,000 and is now worth approximately £4,000, I am down £6,500 over 21 months which works out as £310 per month which I guess would have got me a decent brand new lease car over the same period(something I've always been against but would consider for my next car). Unfortunately I have fallen out with the Volvo brand due to my personal experience but I still think that they are a really nice looking car and perhaps I have just been unlucky this time, having bought an ex-company car with 80k on the clock. That said, my previous car was a Honda CRV which I bought with exactly the same mileage on the clock and I had that for 8 years and all that went wrong was the alternator after about 3 years of owning it...………….
