Summary
What does this car say about you?
Likes to be different!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
At least two people bought six-seaters (one Fiat, one Honda) after seeing our car. Most people think it's great. Everyone is surprised by the size when they get in.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Well I can't because they don't make them any more, but otherwise I definitely would have.
What are you likely to buy next?
A Fiat 500L MPW 1.6 120PS Lounge (5 seat version).

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£12,500
When did you buy the car?
January 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
Exceptional deal (about two-thirds of list price) on account of car having been discontinued.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had already owned a Multipla for seven years and realised that with production having ceased, there were some serious bargains to be had on new (pre-registered) ones left in the showrooms.
What was the dealer like?
They were great. We traveled a long distance to the dealer with the best prices on the top of the range Multipla.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Love it - the wide track makes for a very stable car despite its height.
What's it like to park?
Easy peasy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The only real problem was an intermittently faulty front brake caliper that escaped diagnosis until it was caught red-handed one day. Came as a relief - had feared something much worse!` Also the hand brake freezes up - both our Multiplas have done this from new.
What's most practical about your car?
The seating arrangement and the van-like load capacity, yet with the comfort and refinement of a very nice car (although I have to say the previous model was better made and finished).
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Just that third front seat, really, oh and the rear parking sensors. On the older JTD ELX, I could have mentioned the double sun roof, the seat height adjustment, the Sat Nav, and more. The Eleganza is more basic, less refined and a bit flimsier.
